In this piece, I sought to capture one of Kenwood House’s most majestic features – its sweeping weeping willow in full summer splendour. I’ve spent many hours observing how the ethereal quality of its cascading branches creates a natural sanctuary within these historic grounds.
My composition invites viewers into the tranquil scene, where I worked to capture how dappled sunlight filters through the willow’s curtain-like foliage. This piece is particularly special to me as it celebrates the timeless appeal of Kenwood’s carefully curated landscape, where I’ve always been struck by how nature and human design exist in perfect harmony.
As part of my broader exploration of North London’s green spaces, this artwork stands as my testament to the enduring beauty of Kenwood’s grounds. I was particularly drawn to the weeping willow, a centuries-old feature of English landscape gardens, aiming to portray it with both botanical accuracy and artistic sensitivity.
Available as an open-edition giclée print in four sizes, each reproduction is created using archival-quality inks on premium paper, ensuring exceptional colour accuracy and longevity. The unframed format allows collectors to choose framing that best suits their space and style.
This print complements other works in my Kenwood House series, particularly ‘The Lime Avenue in Summer, Kenwood House’ and ‘Kitchen Garden at Kenwood House,‘ perfect for those looking to create a curated collection of London’s historic landscapes.
